Bayside has owned the adjacent waterfront property for 51 years, and we hold a Town Dock slip — we know this harbor and what boaters need firsthand.
We're not opposed to improving the waterfront. We believe good improvements start with comparing real alternatives, not defaulting to one.
Our interest here is on the record. But our support for public waterfront access would be the same regardless of what we own next door.
What We're Asking the Town Board to Do
Pause irreversible landside decisions while the alternatives remain open.
Compare marina-dominant, hybrid, and park-dominant options using the same criteria and costs.
Preserve the natural shoreline and the mature waterfront willow during that review.
Make the decision in public, with the evidence in front of the community.
